Strength & Conditioning Courses

We consider this course to be the entry point to the fitness industry and to becoming a qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach. The Certificate in Fitness & Conditioning (Personal Training) is equivalent to a NQF Level 5 qualification (60 credits)* and takes 10 months to complete.

*This qualification is awarded by Setanta through their EU accreditation by Quality Qualifications Ireland (QQI). It consists of two internationally recognised awards, a university-level Certificate in Fitness & Conditioning, and a Diploma in Personal Training.

The BSc degree course is comprised of 6 additional modules bringing the undergraduate total to 18 modules. The Bachelor of Science in Strength and Conditioning has now become a global industryleading sports coaching qualification. It is equivalent to NQF Level 7 and awards students 180 ECTS credits.

It takes 18 months to complete our part-time, blended learning programme after completing the Certificate, Higher Certificate, and Diploma stages. In total, the part-time commitment to securing the BSc degree is approximately 4.5 years.

It consists of an internationally recognised university-level award, the BSc in Strength & Conditioning. This programme carries 180 ECTS credits awarded at Level 7 on the Irish framework of qualifications.

2% Learner Protection Charge

All QQI accredited programmes of education and training of 3 months or longer duration are covered by arrangements under section 65 (4) of the Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act 2012 whereby, in the event of the provider ceasing to provide the programme for any reason, enrolled learners may transfer to a similar programme at another provider, or, in the event that this is not practicable, the fees most recently paid will be refunded.
